Some easily available home remedies to treat Chlamydia
Chlamydia is a sexually transmitted disease which is caused due to bacteria named Chlamydia Trachomatis. The symptoms of the disease become more apparent in men as compared to women. The symptoms of Chlamydia in men include burning sensation, pain during urination and swelling around the testicles. In women, the symptoms of Chlamydia include itchiness, abdominal pain, burning sensation in vagina, fever, painful urination and itchiness. It may be passed from mother to a baby during pregnancy. Some herbal remedies are quite helpful in treating this deadly disease.
Green Tea- It is quite beneficial in treating Chlamydia in women. You can consume three cups of green tea per day as it contains antioxidants and fights against the bacteria. Green tea can be prepared by boiling it in water and adding honey to it.
Juices– Fruits and vegetables juices are also helpful in the treatment of Chlamydia. You can take juices of cranberry, apple, watermelon, grapes, cucumber, celery or carrot in high amounts.
Milk– Milk taken along with turmeric is also a good herbal remedy to treat Chlamydia. It gives maximum benefits when taken before going to the sleep. It helps in elimination of bacteria and viruses from the body and detoxifies the body. The curcumin present in turmeric helps in fighting against the free radicals.
Garlic– The antibacterial properties of garlic makes it useful in fighting against the bacteria and hence treats Chlamydia. Garlic can be taken in the form of a paste by crushing it. It helps in preservation of allicin which has anti-inflammatory properties and hence relieves pain in the rectal area. You can even apply paste of garlic to the affected area to get relief from pain.

Echinacea- It is also known as Purple Cone Flower and helps in improving the immunity of a person. It helps in fighting against the bacterial infection during Chlamydia and also helps in quick recovery. The root of Echinacea when chopped and brewed into the tea helps in providing relief from the symptoms of the disease.
Gentian- It is also known as Bitter Root or Gall Weed. It is rich in anthelmintic and antiseptic properties. The root of this herb can be applied externally to get rid of Chlamydia by boiling it in hot water. Strain the liquid and dip a cotton cloth into it. Let it soak for some time and then apply it on affected part. Alternatively, it can also be used in the form of a tincture.
Tea Tree oil- It is also known as oil of Melaleuca. It is rich in antibacterial and antiviral properties and hence apt at treating diseases caused by bacteria or viral infections. Have a sitz bath i.e. bathing with lukewarm water to which tea tree oil has been added, from hip towards downward body parts only. Always remember to heat the oil before using.
