Some effective Natural Remedies to cure Dislocations
Any injury in any of the joints of body is known as dislocation. There is severe pain and uneasiness associated with the condition of dislocations. Sometimes, it also leads to ligament injury. It is because bones are dislocated from their original position at the point of injury. The dislocations must be treated immediately to prevent any further injury to bones, muscles or ligaments. Some natural cures are quite effective to get relief from the pain caused due to dislocations. These also help in healing the injured bones.
Proper Rest and Sleep- To reduce pain caused due to dislocations, proper rest and sleep is quite important. It also speeds up the healing process of bones. You should take at least eight hours of sleep at night as well as short naps during day time.
Ice and Heat Compression- These compressions help in speeding up the flow of blood to the injured joints. This in turn helps in the treatment of inflammation caused due to dislocations. Apart from this, ice and heat compressions also help in relaxing the stressed and tensed muscles thereby reduce the pain in the injured joints. You can use a towel to apply heat or cold compressions. It can be done 2 to 3 times each day for 15 minutes. For cold compressions, frozen vegetables may also be used to apply over the affected area.
Garlic- It is rich in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, it helps in reducing the pain and inflammation caused due to dislocations in the affected area to a great extent. You can consume 4-5 cloves of raw garlic every day till the affected area gets healed completely.
Turmeric– It has a compound known as curcumin which is rich in anti-inflammatory properties. Hence, turmeric helps in relieving pain and inflammation caused due to dislocations effectively. You can add a teaspoonful of turmeric to a glass of warm milk and drink it daily. Also it can be taken in raw form by mixing with honey to cure the dislocations.
Mint- Mint is known for its cooling properties and hence can be used to soothe the pain and inflammation associated with dislocations. You can apply a paste of fresh mint leaves on affected area and reduce swelling as well as discomfort caused due to dislocations.
Massaging with arnica oil or sesame oil- The compounds present in arnica herb are known to reduce inflammation and pace up the healing process. So you can massage the area around the affected part 2-3 times daily. Massage it gently to avoid any discomfort. On the other hand, sesame oil helps in healing injury by nourishing it and improving blood circulation to the injured area. Sesame oil is thick so it must be wiped out after the massage.
Gentle exercises to retain motion– After taking adequate rest for 2-3 weeks or as required following a dislocation, some gentle exercises must be carried out under the guidance of a physiotherapist. It is necessary to retain movement of the affected area.
