Which yoga poses help in dealing with premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction problems?
Premature ejaculation is the incapability of a man to hold up ejaculation for long time. It is a condition during sexual intercourse in which ejaculation occurs too early without even satisfying both the partners. The time taken to ejaculate is measured in terms of satisfaction of both the partners. It may vary from one couple to the other. It is also known as early ejaculation, rapid ejaculation or rapid climax. Although it is related to physical activity of a person but it is greatly impacted by the mindset and psychology of the concerned person. Mostly, stress, anxiety or similar feelings result in premature ejaculation. It is a temporary condition only and can be get rid of by taking some curative measures.
On the other erectile dysfunction is the condition of body in which the penis of a person doesn’t get hard enough to carry out sexual activity. In this condition, the concerned person is not able to get or uphold an erection. This condition is also known as impotence. There are multiple reasons behind this problem. These include vascular blood diseases, nerve damage, psychological factors, medications or hormonal problems. A person may suffer from the problem of erectile dysfunction abruptly or slowly. He may lose the hardness as well as the duration of his erection slowly. The problem may also be improved in same manner i.e. rapidly or gradually. It is because mostly psychological factors are responsible for erectile dysfunction. With improvement in psychological factors, the erectile capacity may also improve.
Whatever the reason behind the erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation, these interfere with sexual life of a person. But these can be treated effectively with the help of some yoga poses.
Supine head knee posture– It is again beneficial for those who suffer from the problem of premature ejaculation. To carry out this pose, you have to sit straight with legs in a straight line in front of you. The right leg is bent at the knee and the heel of right foot is positioned tightly under the left thigh. Inhale deeply and bend down over your left leg while slowly releasing the breath. The toes are held with fingers and the head is brought close to the knee as much as possible. Hold up in the same position for some time and then regain normal body position. But the knee should not be bent at any point in this pose. It improves the functioning of reproductive organs.
Khandasana– It is helpful for those who suffer from the problem of erectile dysfunction. It is done by sitting straight and legs elongated in front of the body. The legs are then folded at the knees towards sides while bringing the heels close to the perineum. The soles of the feet are placed against the navel. The back is kept straight during this pose. Hold for 30 seconds and then gradually return legs back to the floor. It helps in activation of muscles in the navel area which in turn arouses the sexual energy.
